Hi. I`m tired of my old mouse and mouse pad - usage is terrible. I want some new mouse and mousepad. Maybe Razor Boomslang 2100 and Steelpad S&S. What do u think about this?

I use the ratpadz GS. It's good, but make sure to get some pledge for it

I`ve heard that while GS is new, it is good, but in few months using of it becomes awful :(

I wouln't be surprised... its a flimsy cuttingboard, thats why I won't go all-out bugdet on mouse pads. I'd buy a fUnc's sUrface1030, the Logitech Wingman, or a glidepad.

that's why you need pledge so that it stays smooth.

yea.. the carrying case is what I look for in a mouse pad.. it's so important it increases your fps 5% [/sarcasm]

Jason425

wtf do you need a case for a mousepad for anyway.. it just takes up room.. or is that mousepad fragile or something?

carrying case is for lan party purposes
its just that good that you dont want to scratch it
Jason425
10-11-2004, 03:13 PM
you can't scratch a ratpadz unless you take an axe and hit it...
StinkyMojo

stick a knife in it.. besides, it's a cuttingboard ;)

Boomslang is normal but Steelpad... This pad is the best. But as for me i think that S&S is too big. I use 4D (http://www.steelpad.com) and pretty happy about it. I advice you to take 4D.

i used a 99 cent IKEA mousepad at home for the longest time lol
i've tried more expensive ones.....
don't really notice a huge difference......
have a little nicer one now..... optical mouse runs better on the sexy black mousepad i have now.....

you don't need a leet mousepad unless you do "cool stuff" with your mouse... like games and media stuff
cherrypie
11-17-2004, 12:28 PM
....lol i do....
photo editing
tons of gaming..... and really i've never noticed a huge difference.... except when i switched from a ball mouse to an optical one..... that made way more difference than the actual mouse pad did

once i got used to MX700, boy, it made such a difference from Logitech Optical mouse
IMO, func pad is the best
mine is more than half a year old under heavy usage
and its still as new as i bought it after cleaning it with a damp clothe
hasnt been worn out yet

heh yeah
im still on the finer side right now
its so awesome!
i think the IBM X40 thinkpad can fit into the tin box
my X31 fits in but the box doesnt close
because its thicker than the volume inside the box when closed properly
so i think the thinner X40 can fit in well
that would be a kick ass case for a kick ass laptop too
a bonus for the rare ones that have X40 and func pad
(aka the ppl that have a fine taste in laptops and accessories)

come on, show everyone the mousepad you use... let's go... or wait, are you going to throw it in the drawer and say you don't use one....
either way, that leaves you no room to talk about good pads because you don't have one... get a grip

You should try Logitech MX510 and maybe Steelapd4D (https://www.steelpad.com/shop/default.asp?main=products). I use it for about couple month and i'm pretty happy you know.
At home i use MX510+Steelpad4D(gaming) and Microsoft S+ark+IcematBlue(everyday using).

I think that 4D (https://www.steelpad.com/shop/default.asp?main=products) is better than S&S. But if you like large surface you'll prefer S&S better.
Jason425
11-24-2004, 09:44 PM
yea the 510 is the best WIRED mouse...

as for the best wired mouse... not sure, but for mouse pad, gotta go for the $10 printing/mouse mat that compUSA and some other places stock. it's litteraly a poster sized mouse pad!... made for every day wear and tear!.. tough and if it gets nasty just toss into the washer alone on cool with some lite soap and then put in the dryer on air! i have done it 2 times
every time i do that it feels and looks like new!
btw dont dis them cloth covered rubber thingys, if i rolled this up, i could beat someone to death!
