have a system with NT4, samsung 52x32x52 cd-rw drive and roxio directcd installed.

What I like to do is share the drive with a directcd formatted cd in it inside a network.

The problem is when ever I tried to open the drive in other computer's network neighbourhood, it comes out with a blue screen error....

Tried to map the drive as local but also same fault.

Anyone have any idea ??

More details.... (what the error is on the blue screen)

The computer with the drive and DirectCD installed will be able to use the CD in it as a DirectCD, but other computers will just send requests to the drive for the data, which the drive will return data that the other computers cannot read without DirectCD being installed on those systems, as well.

Sorry to ask this, but I am sure that I ever tried maping and accessing a directcd drive without installing the directcd software in my local machine.

Just to add in. I can map as local z: drive but can't open it as the blue screen will appear.

I'm not saying that the machine containing the DirectCD has to have the software installed, I'm saying that the machines that are using the drives through the network likely have to have the software installed, if it will at all work through a network. The DirectCD software on the machine containing the drive might have some options for sharing its use over a network, however you would have to have the software on at all times.
