Need help finding...

I need to find a camcorder that is either VHS-C, HI8, or Digital8 and must have MIC in and the abilility to use with a tripod.

I've searched everywhere but can't find any with a MIC in. :confused:

Anyone have any suggestions?

I just tried looking, too. Got nothing. What about converting from a different format (some format where you can find a camcorder with MIC in).

I went to Circuit City and looked at all the camcorders and out of about 30 or so only 2 had Mic inputs. A Panasonic and a Samsung (both are MiniDV). Since I'm on a low budget, I went with the $349 Samsung. $899 for the Panasonic was way out of my range.

Instead of using the MiniDV cassettes, I'm going to hook the camcorder up to a VCR for recording. That's if the camcorder will stay on for extended periods of time without pushing the record button and going into power save mode.
