Default Website to FTP

I just set up my website, primarily to enable easy access to my school documents on my home computer; heres what i did: I set up an FTP on my Machine and passworded my documents and placed the FTP directory with the folders in it on a new HDD partition. no problems there, i can access it easily. Next i spent 6 hours on a simple webpage because id never used FrontPAge before, that works fine, too. i uploaded it to the server and it functions, its on the net and i can see it from anywhere. so far i have no problems. The problem arose when i put links to the files on the FTP page in a frame on my WebPage. only one of the files will download, while all the pthers attempt to open in the same frame as the link. all of the file are .doc, and i cant remember changing any setting or attributes or anything on any of them - just write, password and save. but still i encounter the problem; one works the opthers dont. not only does this occur on the website, but when im at the actual FTP Site i double click on the files, and once aain, one will download, while the others try to open in new windows! i have no idea what to do! please help!

Why not just use a thumbdrive? You're lucky my dad works at home otherwise my bandwidth would be maxxed 24/7
