"The new technology, holographic versatile disk, is being touted as the next generation optical disk after Blu-ray or HD-DVD formats become a standard. The companies that have created the Holographic Versatile Disk Alliance includes Fuji Photo. The disk would be capable of storing up to 200 movies and transfer data at 1 Gbps. "
