Default Wireless network

As of late my wireless network disconnects automatically in anywhere from half an hour to 3 hours.

I changed my wireless card to a belkin because my old one did not have a functioning antenna and was hard to installl.

So i have a linksys WRT54G router and a belkin F5D7000 pci adapter

any ideas?

running sp2 xp pro

all updates installed
this is the only computer on the network with the problem

Can you tell something about your topography like how far apart the computers are, are there thick walls between, etc. Or are you saying that your connection with your primary computer is slow.

I'm about 2.5 meters away from the wireless its in the upstairs on the 3rd floor on my dads desk and I'm on the 3rd floor........ the wall is about 1 foot thick

its something about the card because my old linksys card worked fine with no problems ever!

and your dad's computer connects ok? If so check out the security settings on your machine. It sounds like yours is searching for an access point and is not being routed correctly. Let me know if his is ok.

Have you run the wireless wizard on your machine or tried to change the physical location of your machine. Is your machine near any other electronic appliance. Try taking your computer (btw what is it? laptop, desktop)to anthoer location.
