Hey guys, I'm buying a new LCD monitor pretty quickly I'd like to hear your input on what you think I should buy. My budget is about 400-500 USD (500-600 CAD).

I'd really love to get me a Dell 2405FPW but it's just a little to much. So I'm also considering the 2005FPW, 2001FP, or the Viewsonic VX924. What do you guys think? And what do you think about the 2005FPW widescreen?

Dell Canada has some good sales on right now for their 2005FPW ($599 CAD), and their 2001FP ($608 CAD). Their 2405FPW is on sale almost 300 bucks off at 1,039 also.

2001fp is excellent. I have one...Best bang for buck value..widescreens are dodgy if you do gaming...not all games support widescreen resolution to my knowledge.

Yeah that's true, only a few support wide screen, like FarCry for eg. But I don't play as many games as I used to so I would probably love all the extra desktop space.

I broke down and ordered the 2405FPW today. I can't wait, I'll take some pictures when it arrives.

Yeah I may throw a review out of it if I'm not backed up once it arrives. I also ordered an evga 7800GTX.. IM SO EXCITED.

Let's hope my LCD doesn't come with free chicken!
