Where talking the best hardware I can afford, packed into a case that is going to be so modded it'll hurt.

Current gear Im looking at are:

ABIT KG-7 RAID Mobo.
1.4Gig Athlon T-Bird OCed(Cant afford XP....but we wil see...)
GF3
Sound Blaster Audigy
Biggest HDD I can find (so far 80GB)
Windows XP Pro (I LOVE it)
Crap load of RAM..

I think you get the picture..

for my next baby, i have thought about some big action things like "the completely copper-cooled case" or a hardcore watercooling rig. i´m currently "researching" stuff related to peltier-cooling solutions.  ;D

A word about peltier elements
they take a lot of power (but an extra powersupply fixes that)
What concerns me is that I´ve heard they can, suddenly
without varning, stop working,  if used with an AMD that
would be catastophical !!! with a P4 it would be Ok
Any thought or knowledge about this ?

i know that if you don´t cool the hot side good enough, the peltier-effect stops and the previously cold side gets fu#+!ng hot too and ya cpu can get more than  serveral 3 to 5 hundreds of degrees Celsius. ´bout stopping working without a reason, i´ve never heard, but it´s an interesting question
