Help New Router won't let me play games online!

:-/ I just bought a D-Link DI-704P. I am using PPOE for my dynamic DSL. I got it running ok but the firewall won't let me host games. I tried telling it what ports to allow traffic on but that won't work. It seems to be broadcasting my internal IP to the internet. Of course that won't work. Any help would be cool. If you need more info please let me know.

try to turn off the firewall and use zonelabs firewall instead.

I think im just going to use the DMZ server feature while playing games for now but I do want that hardware based security al the time. Not just when I am not playing games. The more I mess with it the more I will learn.

That's how I learned everything I know. After I build this next system and get that laptop in the mail I'm gona network them all and try to setup FTP servers on a Linux box.

I had a lot of the same issues when hooking up my SMC Barricade. I'm pretty sure it's in the router setting to be honest. Thats where most my problems arrose.

What game is that again? I have been playing Ghost Recon- Desert Siege. I love it. Like you sayed I come home from a stressful day and blast MFers if the face with a sub-machine gun. Maybe even suck down a few bong loads while I'm at it.

Get your hands on Quake 3 make sure all the point releases are all up to date. SPAMThen go to www.urbanterror.net and download the file and install, you probably will need to go to the Maps section and download.
