Default Voiding warranties at work

Does anyone else get this joy.  I was fixing up a 133 or so Mhz pentium and the fan was shot on the dinky ass heatsink.  Found a mega heatsink in another computer that would work as a passive heatsink 'cause of it's massive surface area but it wouldn't fit right 'cause it was hittin' on some capacitors next to the processor.  The boss asked me if I had any idea's.  I told yhea but it involved a hacksaw.  He asked me if I had one.  One row of fins on the floor later the heatsink fit and the computer ran much more stable.  I like doing this stuff, but it's really nice when you're earning money for it.

HaHa!  Hey that aint a bad job at all, yeah I would the Dremel would come in handy for all sorts of nifty ideas    I would recomend a chainshaw for that matter because of two reasons, you will get the job done faster, and it would be a heck of alot easier.   ;D

Wouldn't be so bad if my boss wasn't a jerk 99.999 (repeating) most of the time. lol.  Oh well.  Problem is that hardware work is about 3% of my job, rest of the time is operator.  Which would be allright but about 15 % of my knowledge is programs.  I'm a hardware geek by trade.  I just fixed a 20 year old BINGO machine at my local Fire Dept. a few weeks after we installed an antique siren on our newest pumper.  I've also redesigned my personel CB antanea for better preformance which is real tricky 'cause you can burn up the CB.  I like moddin' anything metal, wood, or plastic really.  Just wish I could do it all the time know what I mean?

With the proper amplification of a CB you can blow out the electrical in most older VW bugs.

Fun Fact from Keyser ;D

I had a friend that had some "legally challenged" gear and when he keyed the mike on his CB it would dim the headlights.  There's some neat toys out there if you know where to shop.
