Well I'll tell ya what I know if that helps. SPAMKrylon isn't a bad paint just make sure you do a good job with the primer. SPAMPrimer can cover up mistakes/defects on the case. SPAMBut it's hard to cover up mistakes on the primer with the final coat of paint. SPAMUse several thin coats instead of 1 thick coat. SPAMAnd don't sniff the fumes. SPAM;)

I don't remember what kind of paint we were using. We have a paint gun now. We will be buying paint by the gallon from now on.

Good question, but yet another that I do not have an answer for. I would try carviing the letter in to the key before painting it but I have never painted a keboard so i don't really know.

Do something original. Carve it into the keys and the have light shining through from behind it

Try puttin vaseline or any other petroleum jelly. That will keep the paint from stickin. If anyone finds away to get the vaseline to stick to only the character part of the keys very quickly, please post...

i painted my keyboard with that dupli color stuff. but i only sprayed body and space, cursor and enter button. the most important thing when painting a keyboard or plastic stuff is to rough up the surface with sand paper first. then a good amount of color, in thin layers, take your time and last: clear laquer. thin layers but lotsa them. ya can never use enuff clear laquer. the more ya use the nicer your results are

thanks prozak, i thought about that too. SPAMeither making a stencil, or just buying some of that peel and stick inkjet paper and making my own stickers. SPAMand smoked1, i thought about your idea too, but the way the keys on my keyboard (here at work anyway) are made, you cant to that. SPAMno light would get through to the top of the keys. well, thanks alot guys! SPAMi'll let y'all know how it goes.

Or maybe you should take some touch typing classes and then amaze people with your keyboard that has no letters. HA HA HA!!! :D

bah, who needs classes, I can type with my eyes closed and both hands tied behind my back, although i'm a bit slow using my d**k
yeah there something i like about typin..not sure what...but when i get on a keyboard..my fingers do the typing for me...know what i mean...they glide so easily and fast that i can process what i have to say, and as i am saying it, it sounds as if i am speaking normal as i stay with my pace of typing...that is why i like responding to all your posts because it is easy and fun as well

maybe get some shape iron and imprint the letters as reliefs on the keys, then ya could paint it and the imprintings would still be visible
