To all who can help! SPAMI have a couple of Epson printers; Stylus Photo, and a Stylus Photo 700. SPAMBoth of these printers will not print a successful page correctly. SPAMThe Stylus Photo was printing some stuff but it had errors, the letters were not being fully printed on the page as if every line printed had an erase pencil ran right down the center so you only get the top and bottom portion of any character on every line. SPAMI ran all the utilities that came with the most updated drivers but to avail it won't print a good page. SPAMThe Stylus Photo 700 will print a page but it when I tried to print a picture of, if you can imagine the picture came out in cut in three different sections not lined up and slightly different colors on each section, but all on the same page I wish I could attach a copy of it to give a really good explanation of what kind of output it is giving, I have never seen anything like it almost as if someone was doing some sort of 5th grade art work and took a picture cut it up into three sections distorted the colors of each section so they don't exactly match than paste them all back onto another sheet of paper but not aligned to be seen as on picture. SPAMWith the cheaper and older printer the one I got free, Stylus Photo, I attempted to clean the printer head and ink suction pins with alcohol hoping to maybe clean them so that they would spray clearly, but now the Stylus Photo will not even print anything not even the test page, I think when I took the ink containers out they might have dried up from the contact with the air. SPAMIs there somewhere I can get better directions on repairing a printer. The only reason I tried to do it myself was because the appliance repair business near me lost there repair tech so my Stylus Photo 700 didn't get fixed by them. SPAMYou know I am going for my A+ certification but it only details Laser Jet printers and only touches bases on other printers very lightly.

i think you can solve your problem in the bios priter area...

make sure you only use epp i think or whatever settings i forget...
let me check the manual ;)

i think you need to set it to only epp 1.9

or so try different setings also the printer port seems to be using irq7 if you have something else that might be using that, you might get a conflict so you should change that in the bios...

i hope you can find the problem... i know i had problems with my printer and stuff and i think that was the solution...

also try different drivers ??

or try to reinstall them?

Here is a link to the Epson Stylus 700 Documentation I am sure you'll be able to find what your looking for there.

http://support.epson.com/hardware/printer/inkjet/pho700/documentation.html

I am certain that from there you should be able to locate data on the Stylus Photo as well. Good luck and let me know what happens.

Epson stylus C43SX. I've had the damned thing only 2 weeks & it's a real pain. The current problem is that when I try to print a page (only one page) it keeps pulling page after page in (until there's no more paper) and never prints anything. It worked for a while but this just cropped up. It prints a test pattern ok. Anyone have any suggestions??? I DEFINITELY DON'T RECOMMEND EPSON!!!

ive had an epson stylus 670 for almost 3 years
treated me well
until it had problems with its printhead
one bad thing about epson is that its printhead cannot be changed easily
you would have to send it in to a shop to have it fixed

canon on the other hand has cheap ink and also the head can be replaced easily

HP ink are expensive because the head comes with the ink but you do get a new head everytime you change ink

im not so sure about your problem but it sounds like a bios setting problem to me as suggested by Hpub_Val
