I just installed this disk. Win2k saw, partitioned and formatted it, but bios (Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG) still sees nothing (it's a matter of magic how I first managed to boot and enter Windows). Motherboard is Soyo 6vba-133.
Thank you,
George ::)

i dont know about your hd... but there is some place in bios well it really does depend on your bios... but there is a setting to scan or auto detect... your hd's its good to turn this off for none hd stuff.. it also might save you like .2 sec boot time LOL ;)
also it depnds if you have raid and stuff... or other raid like built in controlers that can act as ide channels as well... like my abit kt7 raid :)

So if I understand you, the first time you booted it all worked, formatted etc.
Now, does it still boot up or no because the bios doesnt see the HD?
Did you specify the Cylinders, Sectors etc HD settings in the bios?
Also doesn't Quantum give you software to install your drive with? I could be mistaken but I believe they do. This also checks to bios for your hard drive settins.
One last thing do you have the hard drive installed as a single drive or is there a slave off the drive? Another hard drive or CDROM drive?
