I honestly don't know if this is a hardware issue or not, but I need URGENT assistance.
Up until two weeks ago when that stupid @&*#$%@! virus came along this was working fine. I have a few reports in an Access 97 Database that should be printing landscape/legal. If I print to printer #1 it works fine, if I print to printer #2 it will only print on letter size paper. If I am printing from other applications, such as word, printer #2 will print legal. My companies so called "help desk" said it must be my Access database and that I should seek an expert. I don't totally buy this. If it was Access it would print the same way on both of the printers. I don't even know where to start researching this. Is there ANYONE who can help me!!!!! :'(

Don't know if you can but I'ld try to reinstall the drivers for the printer giving you grieve after checking it's properties. SPAMI'm with you that it sounds like the printer if one works and the other doesn't. SPAMScrewy man. SPAMAlso remember when in doubt kick it ;D

I hope you don't mind me asking...If I pass this info on to helpless, they are going to ask me where I got it from. What is your background?

Propig,
If you could, would you provide a bit more information.
What operating system are you running? Windows 95 98 NT? MAC?
What is the second printer? HP, Epson?
You stated that it prints fine for all other applications other than Access right? And it does print from Access just not in legal correct?
Just for starters try this. Instead of clicking on the print icon, click on File on the Main menu and then Print, you should be looking at a print screen. Click Properties and ensure you're set to print in legal format. If not correct it and you should be in good shape. If it's set that way already then repost here with some more details and we'll get you working!

The printer that is working is a Lexmark Optra N, the printer that is not working is an HP Laserjet 5 SI NX. We are on NT, the database is an Access 97 frontend with a SQL Server 2000 backend. We have verified that the settings on the report are accurate and have checked the settings for the printer.
I have just been informed by the manager that they are going to re-install the printer drivers for the HP
Let's hope this works.

Okay, this is were I stand with this issue. We reinstalled the printer driver, we turned the printer off and on to hopefully clear it. We reinstalled Access97 and even tried converting to Access 2000. I then had someone else try to create a report from one of their DB's and they got the same results.
Any More ideas???

Ok so if I understand you correctly now it is happening with other workstations on the network, but every other application prints correctly?
You said you restarted the printer, did you do this by just turning it off and then back on?
Try turning the printer off, unplug it for at least 15 minutes to 30 minutes to allow the memory to complete clear and reset. Then plug it back in and try again.
If this doesn't do it let me know.

We unplugged the printer for the whole night. SPAMStill doesn't work. I am not going to spend any more time on this. They will just have to print to the same printer all the time. Thanks everybody for your help.
