athlon development

i dont know much about the athlon xp, but i was wondering if it was possible to use that instead of a tbird on my abit. the core of the athlon xp is the same as the duron, which can be used on the kt7 series. the athlon xp is also the same processor as the athlon 4, which is the tbird for laptops. any info? thanx

I have not heard very much information about the Athlon XP at all. SPAMAMD is keeping it hush hush for now, probally to Intel does not get wind and try to out-do them.

All i know is that I am waiting until the XP comes out to purchase a Athlon processor.....since the prices will go way down.

i have been sort of avoiding getting stuff there, security reasons, etc. what do you think?

Pricewatch.com just hooks you up with vendors with the lowest prices. After you find a vendor that has a low price you have to check them out and see if they are any good.

http://www.resellerratings.com is a great place to checkout a company before you buy.

BTW. On the Athlon XP thing - there has been no release yet on whether or not the XP will work in the KT7 boards. Here is a confirmed list so far - this is by no means all inclusive - just verified boards to date.
