Anybody out there have any experience with the HP PSC 500 printer? It's a Printer/Scanner/Copier.
I just picked one up for $149.95, couldn't pass up the deal, needed a scanner real quick and for the few extra bucks got a copier and printer too.
Usually I do not care for the packaged equipment, one things does all but thought I'd try it out anyhow.
They had a pallet of referbs about 15 and I hadn't seen or used this model before. Hooked it up and seems to be fine thus far, but was wondering if anyone had any exper. with it.
Thanks all.

There is a place in Wilsonville Oregon called Fry's Electronics, they deal in bulk with allot things electronics keeping the prices down.
They get allot of referbs too and offer them at reasonable rates. When I picked up the printer they had a couple pallets of em.
Figured for the price, couldn't pass it up. I was there to pick up a scanner real quick as mine finally toasted. Got the whole smeal SPAM:D

While revamping the office and basically rearanging my workspace I accidentally decided to see how rough n rugged my Printer was.
Well the floor one this bout. Four feet up the Printer/Scanner/Copier took the plunge and bounced at least three times before settling to a peaceful rest cozied up to the desk drawers.
Didn't find any pieces layin around and the glass in the scanner didn't crack. I was pretty impressed until I hooked her back up and tried using here.
The cartridge carier broke so when it slides over to the far right it falls off track and it's stuck. I'm sure she can be fixed but don't have the time right now.
So picked up the PSC 750xi. She is securely attached to the shelf she resides on as I have no desire to see if she's rugged or not. That sport can get a bit spendy. Anyhow this one ran me $229.00 So far so good, I can always fix the other for a backup.
Just an update. Later all.

ouch...don't you just hate it when you drop computer equipment! SPAMIt hurts me more than the computer. SPAMI would have to say that the biggest thing i ever dropped was my whole computer. SPAMOne day I hit it a little two hard and it decided to fall 2 feet to just above the floor. SPAMI owe my computers life to the extra strong cat 5 ethernet cable that held her in place inches above the ground. SPAMAll i had to do was replace the network patch cable and everything worked fine!

Nothing worse than the big bang to the ol hard drive upon hitting the floor to start your day.
Testing out my new PSC 750xi man it scans faster than anthing I've used thus far. I am thoroughly impressed with it.
I just scanned in over 80 pics in less than a couple of hours. I mean three photos at a time, you know how long it usually takes to do a prescan? Well it scans in the same amount of time.
Time saver for me, cha-ching, for the cashregister SPAM;D
Perfect example of nothing happens by mistake it all has a reason, just need to find it is all.
