CD audio with SB live

i recently purchased a new PC with SB live Plat 5.1. However my PC freezes when i try to play an audio CD. I've noticed that in Multimedia Properties the "Enable CD audio for this CD rom device is greyed out. i think there is some problem with needing external USB speekers, but i am not too sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you could post you system specs, OS, and other pertenant information we could probably help you better. SPAMThe first thing I'd check is to see if the CD drive is plugged into the analog or digital audio output from the CD drive/to the SB Live. SPAMAlso, check for new drivers for the SB Live and the CD drive, if applicable. SPAMAny OS updates are good too (WindowsUpdate (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com), if you're using Windows).
