View Full Version : Does your AMD processor have this problem?
Interesting page (http://www.gordonfamily.com/AMD/) about a possible problem with some AMD chips.

Yup, I've seen this problem before. SPAMIt really sucked because this was the time that I built a computer for a friend a while back. SPAMHowever, I haven't seen this happen on any of the Athlons or Durons that I've used to build other systems. SPAMI've only seen this problem with the K6-2 chips. SPAMI guess they must've gotten their act straight now.

This actually only happened to a few hundred chips, but some news sources a while back made it sound like every K6-2 had this problem.

Guys, I hate to burst your bubble but Intel chips had some of these problems as well. some of these problems are Microsoft related. I have seen these symptoms in P-II and P-III systems. SPAMI am not denying that AMD had this problem, but I know Intel did too. However, you do not hear anything about htem. I wonder why? :-/
I think whoever made that is wacked out on mushrooms - which explains why everything was funky coloured and fuzzy. I have used and built hundreds of machines using AMD processors and never seen this problem. I think if a problem does exist in that situation the person needs to examine their graphics card instead.
This was a problem, legit even... AMD however has dealt with the problem. It was a decent sized problem until it was found out... there was a way to fix it... I cant remember exactly how.. but there was...

SPAMInteresting. Never heard anything about this. I too have built and worked on a couple hundred machines and never saw or heard of anything like this. I'm not saying the site posted isn't reliable, but you won't see me running their on line "test". Love many and trust few, and always paddle your own canoe...
