Will the Alpha Pla8045 heatsink fit on a Soyo sy-k7v Dragon Plus mobo?
I can`t find the answer anywhere. Thanks

If you're talking about physical space around the 462 socket...this quote from a amdmb.com...

Soyo has enabled the user to install a large assortment of heatsinks with the given area around the 462-pin socket

..., the Dragon Plus was more than enough to hold the Tai Sol Copper Bottom HSF used during testing

Ok the Alpha 8045 is 80x80x45mm

And the Taisol is 80x60x58.3(mm)

The alpha is square. gimme a second to look specifically at a picture of the surrounding socket, to see if it will take that

here's a picture of the motherboard. After doing a visual compairason I'd have to say it will *probaly* fit. It has more length then the one they tried it with. And it looks like that width will go close to those capisators, but it dosent seem it will touch them
