Who makes the best video chipsets? (other one was video card, sorry about mixup) and please dont just vote for what you have, tryin to be serious bout this...

I really think nvidia is kicking some serious butt. SPAMMatrox should be aloud to rest in pieces and ATI is allright but not quite there in my book. SPAM'Course I've been known to be extremly opinionated and more wrong than right. SPAM

Unfortunietly the question needs to be more specific. For instnace, ATI kicks nvidia's ass in the area of 2d graphics. And Nvidia just kicks ass for gaming/3d Graphics. But overall, for the best bang for your buck, go with nvidia :)

now the GF4 MX, with certain features that the TI's dont have, are the best 2d cards by far, Nvidia is wasting ATI right now in all categories. and the GF4 MX is also a great 3d card with the best overall performance of all cards under the resolution of 1600 X 1200. even beats the TI's there but once you get the res up there TI's just dominate. i would still rather a MX and save $300, though, as even at its max res 2048 X 1536, it gets around 60FPS on UNREAL. kudos to those cards. ;)
