I have a GeForce3 Ti200 and the TV Out doesn't work. I can see me computer boot up on the TV but when I get to windows the screen just flashes. I downloaded the patch on the nvidia website that said it would fix this but it didn't work. All my drivers have been updated. My resolution is at 800x600 at 60Hz and at 16 bit color quality.

Anybody have any ideas?

usually that would work. What OS are you running?

Can you get the TV-Out to work when you're using the SVGA as the primary display? I'm not exactly sure how yours configures, but how do you select which output to use? Can you use mulitple outputs for dual display? If so, try booting normally with the SVGA, and then getting the TV-Out to work from a running windows environment.

Usually (or at least with mine and a someone I know's GF3) works like this. Shut totally down, disconnect your monitor, and hook up the TV out. If it dosent detect a monitor at boot, it will switch to the tv out.

I just tried what you sugested Uranium-235 and it is still doing the samething. I can't select what output to use. All I can pick is the Analog Display.

I just looked on the microsoft site and I can't find anything in the kb referring to your problem. If it shows your boot on the tv, it should show windows too. Download an updated driver from the people that manufactured your video card. That is your best bet.

Hi SBC and welcome !

One thing that is pre-requisite usually is that you must be using an NTSC Cable ready Monitor, had this problem once and that was the answer. If it is a dual type, Cable/Ant Mon, be sure it is set to Cable, the board does communicate with it to ascertain that fact.

Also forgot to mention that unless things have changed drastically in a yr or so, you will need to set to 256 colors.

My friends gf3ti200 can reach max resolutions in TV mode. I'm stuck with 800x600x32 max :(

Is it the Cord that is causing it to do this? I tried it on 2 other TVs and it is the samething. The cord I am using has a Left and Right Audio and S-Video.
I also went to Best Buy to ask some people and they said something about changing the clone. I couldn't find it in where he told me to look. Does anybody know what he is talkin about?

Tip of the day! Never ask people at Best Buy questions regarding your computer.

NVIDIA made my video card.
I already downloaded and updated all the drivers.

I'm not talking about the chipset, I mean like is the <card> manufacturer like Visiontek? Asus? Leadtek. I know Nvidia Makes video cards, but I don't think they're sold that often.

Nvidia makes the GPU, other companies make the card itself.

SBC,
It would help a great deal if you could give us a little more info, like has it ever worked ? Did it just fail one day ? Or is it a new card and you are trying to get it to work ?
If it is a new card and never yet worked, I would totally remove it and purge it from the registry, reboot, then re-install it WITH the Installation CD that came with it. If it qualifies for your system and still does not work, I would return it for a refund and try something else, I've used several different cards and never had a a problem - except the one previously stated.

It is a brand new card that I bought online about 2 weeks ago.
What other card would you suggest? Could Windows XP be effecting the card?

SBC,
XP could be affecting the card if it does not qualify for XP. Did the 'system requirements' specify XP ?
Others may be able to recommend a good card, at present I am using an ATI All In Wonder Pro, it has only 32 mb ram, and the TV out is a feature, but I use it mostly for the CATV tuner function on my machine. SPAM
Since windows 98 ( and up ) allow you to have multiple graphic cards, only one can be the primary, and if you are already using an AGP card, then install a PCI card, the PCI card will get priority to be the primary. now if the existing AGP card is 'integrated' , you will need to disable it in the control panels device mgr before working with the other addition.
Lots of things could be the problem, that is why more info is needed. Also what all you expect to use the card for would also help in a recommendation.
