Default Connecting to the Internet

Can some one direct me to a site for conecting linux to the internet using kppp?

I am running RedHat 6.0. I have set up everything correctly according to the kppp help files and I still can not connect to the internet. Does anyone have any insight?

I have edited my resolv.conf file to add the Primary and Secondary IP adresses of the servers I am trying to connect to. I on the other hand have not edited the pap-secrets file because my file outline does not look like anything I have read.
any help would be appreciated.

What is the error message when you try to connect or what happens?

Here is a link to the handbook, what version of KDE are you running and what type of modem are you using?
