I know none of us copy our programs :)
but for the ones that make backups of our programs, this could hamper that.
If I buy a program I should have the right to make a back up of that just in case I need it.

I also like to convert my audio cds to MP3s so I have more songs on a cd. That would be hampered by this bill, too.

Remember the Windows Media Player's new EULA. They can install anyting they want on your computer and even make your computer unusable if they want to. I wonder if it's tied to this? Not only will they break your computer now they can arrest you after they do.

:wavey: Hi, BLOW THEM UP!!!!!!
All I know is that if they come for me, I aint going out without a fight.
They will have to kill me first. There is no way that I am going in to prison for that. Could you imagine? "What are you in for?" "Well, I am in for making backup copies". Yeah, say goodbye to your virgin ass. HA HA HA HA HA!

Yeah, if they could shut down the net. Altough if they do they have a prob with all the government agencies and other companies that use the net as a communication tool. Say goodbye to online classes, and online banking, etc.
I am glad that I am using a Mac, harder to get into like Linux. :)

but if the net was shut down, a new one would grow in its place and be based on high speed and make the whole net faster :sunglasses: . then it be even harder to stop file transfers. :firedevil:

if you are in OS X in mac then you are running unix as OS X is based on unix on the inside :)

Yes. It was a very smart move for Mac. Their stability is supposed to be rock solid now. Microsoft should start over also, and base their stuff on Unix if they want to stay in the market longer than the next decade. I heard they have been working on a project for this. Anybody hear anything about that?
