What about spray paint?

beige on black? i dunno, if that were my color scheme i would simple make one key black and one key white and so on and so forth to have the effect of a chess board or something of that stature, but that is mearly my opinion, and yes i would recomend takin the keys off and spraypainting them, a pain, but worth it

I intend to paint the key board(frame and keys), but this would mean painting over the letters. Yea i could write them back on the keys with some marker or somthing but im looking for a less "gettho" solution. I want to look nice.

Put vaseline on a cloth, and just brush over each key so that the vaseline gets on the raised part (the letter) and the paint doesn't stick.

Sorry, I don't know if there's actually such a thing on the market, but another option is as follows:

Buy another black keyboard, or natural keyboard with a similar layout. Hope the keys fit into your Microsoft Keyboard, and then just swap 'em. I personally wouldn't trust another manufacturer to use the exact same size/layout needed, though.

Vee_ess: How would you get the vasoline to just stick to the letters? I believe they put another layer of clear protective coating down on the keys after they letters, so they *hopefully* don't wear off...

Thanks for the imput omega. Ive thought about that but dont have the cash to gamble with. Ive thought about several diff ways to paint around the keys but then it would end up black letters on black keys which would be pointless any how :/ Im gonna think about it and try to come up with some whitty ass solution . If i get any thing ill let yall know.

I have been looking for a black MS Natural KB and have not found any. If anyone has a link to them, they do not have to be MS Natural. It can be a lookalike if you have seen anything. I have seen pics of these in all different colors. I call the vender and have been told these are just pics, we do not actually have these KB's.

I think AlienWare might make custom MS Natural Keyboards (custom colors) to go with their systems. If you were interested in shelling out some more cash, you could see if you could get just the keyboard from them.

I am not the guy with the keyboard wanting to convert the keys to black. However I would like to have a supplier of colored natural keyboards.

The price for the Alienware at Best Buy starts at $2399.00 and goes up from there.

I AM STATING WHAT IS IN THE SUNDAY PAPER ADVERTISMENT.
I don't know and don't really care what is in thier web site.
I did not go there and look. So why don't you get off my back. Seems as though you want to throw rocks at most everyone but yourself.

hey bobyjo, no one wants to throw any rocks at you
no need to get defensive

its just that we all should do some elaborate researches before we make a statement
one source is not enough
atleast two sources is needed to confirm one thing

i make mistakes on boards alot of the times too
but im learning now to do some research before i make any posts and comments.

I may be new to this board.
But I have been posting at Sharkeys Forum, AMDmb.com/forum, GotApex/forum, and others for several years.
I have senior status on several boards.
Why do you seem to think I am a nube at this.
I'm sorry but if you have made it around the forums any at all, you would realize this. Yes it does offend me to be treated as a nube, or a rookie.
I am retired, legaly of retirement age. Have been building computers for several years.
I am building hi end gaming systems for my customers. I don't need to sell 100's of systems a month to survive, I can survive on selling none if that is the case. I have my income no matter wheather I sell anything or not.
Customer service is outstanding with us. The customer gets what he or she wants. We will work with them in any way we can.
Well anyway enough about me.
I thought this forum might be a good one to try to and assist someone from time to time. But I don't like anyone throwing stuff in my direction. When I make a statement, It is true. Not just I thought so, or I heard this.

BobyJo, try looking at the thread from a third-person point-of-view. I don't believe eviltechie was trying to attack you. You do seem to know what you are talking about, and I think we all see it.

Thank You Sir::I just quit two other forums for some of the members thought my method of explaining something was less than desired. This is why I have come here. I never say anything that I do not know is a fact. Mostly I deal with products I have used or am using at present. We have our own website and build custom gaming systems. I won't post the link to my own website on your forum, unless you or another moderator says this is ok to do so. I was ran off from another forum because I posted a link to my own website to explain a question for someone. I later received a very ugly private message from one of the senior moderators explaining why this is not permitted. Hopefully we can all get along, be friends and I can have the opertunity to help someone now and then. I do ask for help in certain area's too, we are not any know it alls. Not me by a long shot. I need help in things every now and then. Thanks for the heads up on this.

in every means, i am not commenting in your knowledge or calling you a noob.

i was simply bringing the fact that alienware area51 can be bought for less at best buy and that may be something you dont know.
infact, alot of us didnt know until i did some search and posted it

all i was saying is you said what you know, so you are right in your own view. However, after another fact has been revealed to show that your info may not be correct.
there just too much knowledge for one to contain to be correct in absolutely every matter

i was not being offensive at all
you might have mistaken it, if so, im sorry

i did not even think you are a noob and as vee_ess said, you know what you are talking about and we all know it.
from the very start when i started conversation with you, i have been very friendly and said that the whole system costed about 1600USD, it is you sir that try to counter my statement and i backed my statement up with providing the link. Out of nowhere you started being defensive and accusing me of being "on your back" and wanting to throw rocks at you.

there is absolutely no need in being defensive when i wasnt being offensive at all
i did not comment your knowledge in any single way

I am sorry that I took this all wrong. I have not seen thier website, nor been in thier store. I just read the advertisment in the booklet for Sunday's paper. This ad stated the price was $2399.00 and up. It also stated they had all components in stock to build or upgrade your present system to match the alienware systems. That was the only thing I was commenting on.

there is also no need to dig out all of our irrelevant personal histories just to make a point

To avoid any other conflict, I suggest that BobyJo should in fact back down just a tad. I am not trying to come on to this fast or on anyone's side, by any means. Yes, BobyJo, to this site, you are a Noobie. Every single one of us has started out as one, and I intend on you to get through it as well. I do feel that your advice will be welcome at this site, and urge you to continue to post. However, if you do pursuit to stick to your opinion and not hear other ppl out, thats is fine. Just do not get offensive when they put their word in as well. That is all I ask of thee. Opinion is the # 1 key in a good forum, conflict is the # 1 worst...

Well back to the subject at hand. I can not find any Naturl Keyboards in any color except the common (white) or beige as most of us call the color. Logitech makes the Cordless Pro and it is two toned. But the keys are the plain beige. The wrist area is dark, the keyboard area is beige. Man this sucks. You see all the advertisments of these Alienware cases with matching colored monitors, speakers, keyboards. But in the real world, they do not exist.

eviltechie

what do you mean they dont exist?
