I got this drive a few days ago. It was brand new, and came in a firewire to IDE case. Because I couldnt find any drivers(well, for windows) I took it out, and just connected it to my secondary IDE. It works perfect...without my CD ROM connected... I looked in the manual, but I says nothing about the jumper settings (or DIP switches)

Another odd encounter, I thought I'd test a small HD in the firewire to IDE case. I stuck an old 640M in there, and it wouldn't spin up. I cut it off, then dissconnected the IDE cable, and it spun up fine. The same thing happened on a CD ROM I tried in it(wouldn't eject) but was fine without the IDE connected. Then I stuck the tape drive back in, and it worked fine(well, would lite up, etc, but I still don't have drivers)
