Well, I spent the majority of my awake-time today completely reconfiguring my desk/hardware layout. I'll let the pics do the talking :-P.
Before (taken at two different times):

Note: My printer will be going on top of that table above my sub-woofer.
I think it's a huge improvement, but lets hear what you all think about it!

What a difference! :o You must be thrilled. Great job with the arrangement.
One thing I might suggest: keep your subwoofer away from the computer - the stero system in another room has made my fans all start to buzz loudly and now some are even clicking.

yeah and huge vibrations can't be good for your hard drive :)

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Surprisingly enough on my system, the hard drive is running as smooth as ever and has never crashed or anything. It's a WD though.

Mucho Improvemento! 8)
I have to have a good deal of motivation to re-organize something that I've been used to for awhile...then again, if I'm not getting work done efficiently then changes have to be made. And look what it's done for you!
Looking good, bud....now keep it that way! >:)
yeah, thats the hard part. maybe keep a map of everything on ur hard drive and then reorganize it every few months or so. mine wouldn't be hard to organize but thats cuz there isn't so much equipment.

Very Nice. That is a lot better :)
u should have any speakers that aren't shielded away from the computer. The speakers that come with a stereo system can damage the computer as well as other computer components. I have a shielded speaker system near my comp and it doesn't interfere with anything.

I'm 99% sure these are shielded...I get no visual distortions when they're directly next to my monitor, and they were designed for computer systems, so I think I'm safe (but yeah, I did know that). I'd check the manual to be extra certain, but I seem to have misplaced it. Hrm...:/.

I lose my manual's on purpose.

Well, I've found only one small flaw since I've been up and running with my new setup. It's slightly more difficult to access the back of my computers than it was before. Granted, this shouldn't be a big issue the majority of the time, as it is a desktop computer, and thus spends the majority of its time at my desktop (well, floortop), with static connections in the back.
I'll see if it's a major pain when I go to my next LAN party, but I think it's definately worth the small inconvenience.

I can understand why it would be an inconvenience. I work with the back of the computer more than the front, and the inside more than the outside. Maybe pull-out trays or something of the likes would be beneficial in these types of circumstances.

That would be beneficial for everyone. It would help with upgrading cards, memory, etc. I wonder which company has that feature??????? Oh, yes it is the Apple Mac G4 towers
well, you can get that for any PC for cheaper. what i think he was talkin bout was the desk tho, and i don't suppose mac is in the furniture industry
