Default swap/paging file do you really need it?

I'm running XP pro with 1.5 GB of RAM and completly disabled the paging file. So far no problems at all. Is it wise to run XP without it?

I tried running /w 512M & no swap and got an unusual amount of illegal errors & bsod's. I think if you're running programs in swap you have less chance of conflicts/errors, then running in pure system memory

Just be carefull on 98 some games will not run without a swap file and I think XP is the same. Doesn't matter how much ram you have they at least need to think there is swap file.
