Well, the RIAA bunch scores another one, taking out Aimster. Not to worry, plenty more will take it's place.

i used aimster a couple of times.. didn't like.. i use KaZaA for mp3s, neo-modus/direct connect for games and movies now

Yeah, Aimster wasn't the best target. The user base was quite low. If they were to take out Morpheus/Kazaa, or WinMX, or LimeWire, that'd be a big deal like Napster, but Aimster wasn't all that popular. It's my opinion that P2P could never be defeated without removing all communication networks (landline phones, wireless infrastructure, cable networks, fiber networks, etc.).

Exactly. But they'd also have to take out Radio Shack. This way we couldn't set up wireless networks. But they can't take out Radio Shack. Not without being unconstitutional. So techies win. RIAA loses. :lol:

Yeah, wish is was that way most of the time...trust me, the net would be ALOT better...who would be such a fool as to start the RIAA?
