Mirroring usually requires 2 drives to be of the same size. However, you can mirror 2 drives that are of different sizes but you have to mirror them with the same partition sizes.

For example, if you have 2 hard drives and one is a 40 gig and the other is an 80 gig, you have to partition the drives exacly the same. Since the drives are of different sizes, you can only mirror the partitions that you are able to match between the 2 drives.

Idealy, if you want to mirror, you need to match the drives.

horrible things happened.. i tried "drive image" and it trashed both hard drives.. lost it all.. lessons learned? dont use ntfs? one error after another .. must have been meant to happen.. but trust me.. it hurts to lose 35 gigs..

well after a few days of being bored with nothing i reinstalled partition magic to see what i could do. There the partition was.. hidden away into the depths of nothing... so after a quick unhide its back up!

Lesson Learned? If drives disappear check to see if they're hidden!!
