A tidbit I picked up in my U.S. Navy days:

Water is actually an insulator, it is the impurities in water that make it conduct electricty. Some of the liquid cooling systems had to have distilled water to start with and it was further filtered to provide 1 meg ohm + resistance in order to keep the electrical gear it was cooling form arcing over. You might consider using distilled water when liquid cooling your system. May help avoid problems if you have a leak.

I just stumbled on an old thread that covers this topic, sorry.

meh its alright

its a nice reminder

my friend had an accident with his water wetter!
he used the correct portion vs water
(dunno how much)

but ran for 2 days and foam was starting to build up in the reservoir

it is kinda dangerous

you could use anti-freeze with water

but the main purpose of distilled water is to prevent lime and minerals building up in the tubings and eventualy break through it
yeah, things can be corrosive
