HELP!

I have a Tyan Tiger 200T Motherboard on a new computer
a Promise Ultra ATA100 SuperTrak SX6000 6Ch RAID Card
4 * 60GB IBM ATA 100 7200 RPM Hard Drives

No operating system installed YET.

On boot the CMOS has a boot sequence of CD, Floppy, SCSI
The RAID configurator recoginizes all drives and I have them configured RAID 0+1 for a total available space of 120GB

Fdisk off Win95 boot disk recognizes the hard drives and will format a primary dos partition. Then I can format C:

Problems arise when I try to install Win NT server 4.0. I get an error message "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer." It goes on to say I should specify a valid partition in the DOS section of the set-up. (Don't know what it is talking about or why it can't find the RAID array). I load the latest drivers for the RAID card during the add hardware drivers "S" option and they load up. No matter what I do it can't seem to find a valid place to install the OS.

HELP!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure your problem is that you need to press F6 immediately once you run the NT installer. This will allow you to load third-party SCSI/RAID drivers (a bit later in the install process). This is a fairly common problem. If you don't have a floppy with the drivers, make one from the CD, or download the drivers (NT drivers), and put them on a floppy disk.

I'm 90% sure doing this will solve your problem.

[Disclaimer: You talk about some S load drivers option...to be honest I've never actually installed NT 4.0, but I know what I've described is the case with Windows 2000 and XP (based from the NT kernel). It's possible your S option is the equivilant of this...but I don't know for sure.]
