Can't install SoundMAX, can someone help please?

I have an AOpen AX34 Pro II mobo, my add on soundcard just stopped working so I decided to use the onboard sound. Did the jumpers, uninstalled my old soundcard and did the bios settings, installed Soundmax, it said it worked and to reboot but when I did, all there was, was a Soundmax folder but no files and no Soundmax so I downloaded the latest version, this won't even install, keeps saying it can't find driver and stops installing. I am running XP pro if that helps, with a Celeron 850 cpu and 380 meg ram. XP installs the generic AC 97 drivers fine but not Soundmax.
Any help would be appreciated

make sure you get specific drivers for WinXP

not win9x and ME

must support winXP

also turn off any software firewall before installing

i accidently deleted soundmax how can i get it back
