im wondering what if i use frag tape and cut a square in the center of the area i want to put on ram
and in that empty area, put thermal adhesive or thermal compound in there...
not sure if the frag tape can hold

always try experimenting man :) the only way to find out if you do not do it someone else will have to :)

well in this case, id rather have someone else try it first
things may not work
and get messed up
especialy i dont have the money to make mistakes...

well for starters you would have to layer the thermal tape two layers thick and then very carefully apply the silver 3 inside Honestly would nto really do anything performance wise, may get 1-2 more mhz mabey if even that.

its just to save some money using thermal compound you already have and the frag tape that comes with it
just a subtitude for thermal adhesives
better thermal conductivity than just frag tape i believe

Yes very true, I think I am gonna make a clamp system of somekind to hold the sinks on tight with artic silver 3, that frag tape is just annoying.

It's cool man, about 90% of my stuff is custom work so I am used to trial and error :) Besides I know elecronics and know what to do and what not to do so I am safe for the most part :D Thx for the advice! And remeber if it is not broken, FIX IT AND MAKE IT BETTER!
