View Full Version : What are the main benefits to running a RAID system?
I'm thinking about putting together a new system, and I was just wondering what advantages/disadvantages I would encounter using RAID instead of conventional storage.

faster performance for Raid 0 and 1 and 0+1
all has fault tolerance except Raid 0

the second link is better and easier to read
also simply states its recommended applications
for eg. raid 0 is good for video production and editing...
and Raid 1 is for accounting...
