Thanks for posting this link, just what I was looking for for my teenager. SPAMHe has zero interest in building machines, which is my thing, but loves his keyboard time. SPAMBy the way, I really love this forum, I'm a member of a few similar site in msn/communities and this site blows all of those away as far as features & ease of use. SPAMYou guys are doing an excellent job here. SPAMI've sent your link out to a few folks I think will find they also like this site very much. SPAMKeep up the good work!

Webmonkey has the best web tutorials on the net for free. SPAMNice link admin. SPAMI recommend Thau's JavaScript tutorial or Thau's advanced JavaScript tutorial. SPAMIf you know nothing about JavaScript, you will after 20 or so hours of Thau. SPAMPS. SPAMI am a new member and I love this community. SPAMPlease let me know of any other great links. SPAMI just found techies.com and am thinking about signing up for the $130.00 package of online classes. SPAMwhat the heck... SPAMIts like 1000 hours of training for 130.00. SPAMI paid way more in school. SPAMI just am not sure which is the best online education system. SPAMAny suggestions are welcome. SPAMThanks and nice meeting you. SPAMA.

Webmonkey is great. Another great site is http://www.dynamicdrive.com for dhtml and other scripts/menus/effects/etc. that you can checkout, use, and learn from. http://www.echoecho.com also has great tutorials - like this css tutorial.

First of all, awesomedell, I'm really happy to hear you like the site. SPAMIf you haven't already, make sure to check out the other site with the same owners as Netsmog, HardwarePub (http://www.hardwarepub.com).

Second, it isn't exactly a tutorial site, but w3c (http://www.w3.org) is the official standards for html (and other stuff, maybe?). SPAMThey have all the official html code listed, and explanations of how to use it. SPAMThey also offer an html validator at http://validator.w3.org that will tell you any errrors you have in your page.

Last, your contrast between your liking hardware, and your son's liking software (coding?). SPAMI've been having a major battle between web/graphic design and hardware stuff. SPAMI think I like hardware stuff more, but I think it's harder to get a good career doing hardware stuff that's actually the cool hardware stuff (not like, a job in Maylaysia inspecting systems) than it is to get a job doing web or graphic design. SPAMI'm not especially good at actual web coding, and I can't do any scripting, or crazy java crap, but I'm better at conceptualizing stuff, or graphic design, but I'm no master at that either. :( SPAMOh well, we'll see.
