does anyone know where to get something like this or have any suggestions of what else to use:

i can't get a computer near to the area i need to capture video.
USB is too expensive and ethernet is already there, and power is available.

I think X10.com would be a good place to look at what you want.

check out this page
http://www.webcamstore.com/

look into personal and the AXIS 2100 Network cam is a good one for personal use

but really, use USB if possible and if the length is not too long

also if you can afford an ethernet cam, check out the award winning D-Link DCS-1000
