 Bought a Philips Sonic Edge 5.1 for one purpose: to stream mp3's to my AVR which has an mp3 decoder. Seems the SPDIF digital out socket on the card should allow this.

I'm confused as to the proper connector to use for the card. I was under the impression that the proper connector would be an RCA jack. This is too small.

I'd appreciate it if someone could identify the proper jack to use.

Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply, evil.

Apparently the SPDIF out jack is 1/8" phone. Bought a Radio Shack adapter (to RCA jack) which works fine.

Unbelievable sound through the HK setup now.
