I have a fan I was using on a Duron, and I was wondering if I could use it on an Athlon 1.4GHz? SPAMMy Duron was usally running at 115 F. SPAMI don't plan to over-clock it, but I will use very demanding programs.

(I attached a picture of the fan. SPAMIt should be about the correct size if your monitor is at 1024x768...)

i think this is a Huey Shyang Platinum or titan majesty m5ab (exactly the same except of the packaging), if so, itīs rated up to 1,2 ghz (moves 22 cfm at 5500 rpm) i wouldnīt recommend this for a 1,4 ghz thunderbird :-/

...thats exactly right :o ...

I looked around on the fan, and I found Huey Shyang on the side, and Platinum on the sticker. SPAMThe box didn't really say anything on it, just somthing like CPU cooler. SPAMIt wasn't too bad for $7.

I guess I'll keep this fan around for other uses, and buy a new one. SPAMI had a hell of a time getting this thing off my MB, and I AM NOT using it if I just am going to remove it...

I have no idea what my next fan will be. SPAMI think there is a comptuer store near me I that I may check out... SPAMI don't want anything expencive, just enough to keep my processor at a safe level
[hr]
My old fan was $7. SPAMI wanted, once again, the cheapest one to keep my Duron cool. SPAMI had the choice of this little orb, or a regular square one for the same price...

I would sell it, but I think I have a use for it. SPAMMy CIS teacher gave me a BX PRO MB with a Slocket(PCA 370) SPAMThey both seem to be in great shape, excpet for the Slocket...it has a broken coil. SPAMSence it's broken, and not burn't out, I think I can replace it.

go for a pal6035 with a 5000 rpm fan. should be just right (i donīt think installing an alpha heatsink was ever wrong ;D)

Well, sorry -=aoC|PRoZaK=-, but I didn't take your advice... SPAMI got a Cooler master instead... SPAM$40 was a little steep for a fan... SPAMI found this Cooler Master at Comp Pro for $12, and then he gave me a $2 discount for being a student. SPAMI'll have to start going to that store more often...

This fan isn't all that bad though...I've never seen the processor above 127 F. SPAMIt is rather noisy though...

I had a seemingly identical fan, the Thermaltake Chrome Orb on my AMD Athlon T-Bird 1 gHz. SPAMIt ran about 55 C (the case wasn't helping, though), so I got a new case and HSF, and now I run about 100 F. SPAMThermalright SK-6 Pro and 3dcool.com Tornado 3000
