well well
today i took up the vantec heatsink
and to school i went
...
no i didnt teach it math or physics...
i took it to its surgery room
i dont like working with sharp stuff because ive cut my self deep before and almost died because i lost so much blood
anyways
i asked the shop teacher to cut it for me
just a corner so i can fit it onto my mobo where it has a damn capacitor in way for 70mm heatsinks
so, its cut and all is well
happily i went home
after some hard struggles with installations
(it says to tilt 45 degrees but hell... i got capacitors in the god damn way...)
i managed to get it on and the cpu is loaded with AC3
in the process i took the ram out so i can push the clip down without damaged the rams
all is well at this point
putting ram back in
plugging stuff back onto mobo and PCIs
yada yada
turned comp on but it wont do a post boot beep
nothing shows on monitor but it is receiving signal from video card otherwise
mobo's LED light is on so mobo should be fine...
what i was afraid was that i destroyed my Athlon 1.2 GHz Thunderbird
which was already chipped
but after a few mins of panicking, i reseated the ram and voila
it came back from hell
so the point to all these junk i just said is that if you have a problem and have moved the ram a bit
reseat them first
good chance is it will fix it up!
now with this Vantec VA4-C7040 in my comp
its running so quiet and low pitch
it almost has no noise compared to the delta i had
and guess whats the temp now...
42c loaded!!
compared to 48c loaded!!
man...
Today is a glorious day!
CELEBRATION TIME!!!!
