Check this out, was able to bump up my score with ddr tuning to 17721! 18,000 is soo close but will probably take the new fx card to do... pushed this baby to its limits! As soon as they post I will be #3 overall on overclockers.com's 3dmark team, I outrun most all of the p4 guys at 3.2ghz and I am all air cooled!
Thx for making me a wicked chip amd :)
Thx corsair for making me insane pc3500 ram!
Thx ATI for finally getting their crap together and getting me drivers that work!
And thx asus for a killer board "A7N8X delux" but guys.... get your crap together on the bios....

:o Holy crap man!!! That is pretty insane....heh, I'd probalby be scoring some where in the range of less than half of that, lol! Time, Money, Experience, and a lil bit of Luck will get us all that far some day! heh. Oh, btw, nice text ;)

Considering I scored 16.3K on 3dMark with a 9700 pro, I think I could get pretty close to that score if I tried it again with the new drivers, tweaking, and overclocking the card. You never know, I might give you a run for the money AI.

PLEASE do hehehe and remember that score is with a chip running at 2.4ghz and not 3.2 *LOL* hehehe. I would welcome a run for my money! I like competition!

it is my daily business system and is as stable as is was not overclocked. I am typing on it right now with the same settings that get me 17721. I can also loop 3dse for over an hour which is all I tried with 0 probs, locks or atifacts.

Oh no... I've never run at 2.4. I have a 2.8 running at 3.2. I think it's very impressive your system scores that high considering my system is running at a much higher CPU speed and memory bandwidth. Makes me wonder if it's just the ATI card or the combination of the AMD/MEM/nForce board that does it.
I wish I had a 9700 pro so I could do a more indepth comparrison. 8)

well there are 2 factors
all about video
Ti4600 doesnt have AGP8x and unless you are using 42 + detonators and is using 41.09 then it doesnt have support for direcx 9 yet
secondly,
9700 pro is way better than Ti4600
not suppose to be directly competed head to head...
cause different infrastructure and born in different generations
i guess we have to wait till GeforceFX comes out to get a closer if not better score

I can score in the low 16,000's with the 4600 so it is not all card *LOL* also look at overclockers.com 3dmark team, allot of them have 2.8's like you running 3.1+ and I am still beating them and they are useing 9700 pro's also.
Remember grasshopper, hp means nothing if you don't have the torque! Amd is know for having way more so called "torque" if ya wanna see it that way :) Mhz would be like HP. Sure your honda may have 450hp but only 250foot pounds..?? *LOL* does not get it down the track to well, but revs like hell! That is the way I see amd to intel. oh yeah also I am running around 3.1gb on sandra for the ram, what are you running..??

Accurateimage::You are getting hold of the AMD, nForce bios, & ATI Radeon 9700 combination.
The key is having the components, then getting them all working together like they should.
When you get there, you will not have any overheating, lockups, tearing or anything.
The system will run at that setting as if it were at default settings.
That is the key to the whole picture. Feels great don't it.
Takes time but all worth it after all.

Yeah it all rocks! And the ram, man corsair makes some killer stuff! My timings are 2.5-2-2-4 for 3 sticks! that really helps out in the 3d mark!

I ordered one of those Saphire 9500's. I hope to convert it to a 9700 so I can play with it.
I'm not sure I can pick up 2000 3dMark points with it, but I'm gonna give it a shot.
Let the games begin!!! :P

I see the max but what is your normal fsb speed..??

I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean what's the max memory BW without overclocking?
accurateimage
01-21-2003, 07:17 PM
No I mean your normal, the max is different than the actual... the actual is in the bar graph!

Ok, let me bench it again...
OK, here it is...

nice, I can get around 3.2gb peak and in theory with the nforce board in dual channel I can get around 6.2 but have not seen it yet, not even close *L* :)

I have my doubts that the memory BW would be enough to catch or overtake your 3dMark score.
I'm just happy the 9500 gives me a chance to actually do some serious comparrisons. I wont have to speculate or rely on others to give the good or bad news about ATI anymore. ;)

I hear ya :) I call it how I see and it and everyone knows it on here *LOL* as you can tell and I can honestly say my 9700 pro with dx9 and the latest drivers are awsome. Also yeah what we can do is run side by side comparo via passmark and I will clock my vid card same as yours so we can see what is faster and what is not :)
