Sounds like you may have an integrated graphics card to me. If you do then it's ram in windows + ram for graphics card (setup in bios) + total Ram. That should give you the number your lookin' for.

if i don't fix the number of ram in there will my rig still use the full 768mb?

(768 - 736) = 32

That's a common number for integrated video chipsets these days.

If you want to use full memory, get a AGP video card, and disable your onboard card.

On-board video cards use a portion of the RAM that is dedicated so the OS does not see it as system RAM.

Depends on the rest of your rig. Make sure you have an AGP slot on your motherboard. Either check the specs on your mobo, or look at the board itself. It'll be the top slot and should look noticebly different. If they all look the same then you'll need a PCI card. It will still free up your other ram, not to mention take the processing load off your motherboard. It'll end up running smoother and faster. Not sure who all makes good PCI graphics cards anymore. If I find any I'll post back.

i dont think u would need one right now
i mean 736 mb of ram is still alot and you shouldnt worry about getting a new graphic card just for that

unless you want better graphical performance

yeah ik i have a AGP Slot my mb says it supports AGP. http://www.unitedmicro.net/bmsimssoc478.html thats my mb. and i got the manual for it, ik it supports AGP but i do need a new graphics card anyways.maybe if i get enough money someday a GeForceFX hehe.Yeah i gotta get a job in the summer........cause i mean i'm only 16 but i have worked hard to get this comp with summer jobs.i wanna get another comp in about a year even though i just got this one last summer i want one off of ibuypower.com i have heard good things about them and alienware is awesome but a little to pricy for me lol.Is anyone having trouble getting in msn hotmail?

no problems for me at all to get into hotmail through both webpage and outlook express

there is no point in sticking a GeforceFX onto that MSI mobo
ull need mobo supporting AGP8x to get the most out of the card

plus GeforceFX isnt that good for its noise level
also there is no point for a student to get the best of the best if you are on a tight budget

Radeon 9500 would be good
and you can turn it into a 9700
