uuh yeah this is because NVidia is targeting image quality, not framerate on the GeForce FX.

Well, from the stats and comparisons of image quality, i'd say that currently ATI has a pretty hefty lead in Image Quality (Anandtech's article was very good at comparing image quality).

I would have to say the same, the ati and fx will look pretty much the same, nvidia is just trying to play that bs card because they know ati is a monster about to step on them... just thing this fx is bairly beating the 9700... and the r350 is set to come out a few after the fx is released... nvidia will have one heck of allot of catching up to do!

The new nvidia chip does have allot of potential but man do they have some driver issues and bottlenecks to get over before I will buy the fx... first tests look pretty crappy for the price.... anyone seen the overclocked results of the card yet..??

Also just in, toms did an extensive review, while the fx is the king of the day, it is like comparing a 4400ti to a 4600 ti... who gives a whoop, nvidia really goofed this time especially with all the hype around the card, makes it really dissapointing! also note that they had to go all the way to 500 / 1000 to bairly beat ati!!!! Reminds me of intel vs amd *LOL* I sure do hope nvidia has another card waiting.... this one is just sickly dissapointing... MAN I HOPE IT OVERCLOCKS TO THE MOON~
