woot
nforce 2

i suspected my ALiMaGik 1 is down there

but i suspect half of this data is based on popularity

and there isnt enuf time for ppl to vote for Sapphire 9500 for best overclocking card

or not even best performance/price ratio

Sweet I own the best a board and also owned the best cost per performance board back in the day woohoo!

BUT HEY! Why in the name of whoever is the k7s5a #3 for overclocking? the board does not even have any overclocking features! You cannot even adjust the fsb in the stock bios and the only ram settings you have are normal, fast and ultra, somthing like that. Man that is funny :D

Yea, I don't think it's 100 percent accurate... The Sapphire 9500 wasn't even on the list of Cost/Performance video cards.

I noticed, after reading through it all I was very dissapointed, either the voters are really stupid on some subjects or they goofed up the counting of the polls *L*

I have to say that as a user of several forums, I would hate to be flamed in one of them by people I thought I respected but who themselves make ill-judged comments based on the barest facts. One thing you may note from the OCWorkbench site is that it is a lot more professional than this site - they don't have nerdy spaceships as signatures in there for a start. If I was being malicious I would say that each picture represents 1 IQ point, however I won't since that won't be professional. If you read through OCWB's site a little more, you might read the discussions they have on the results and thus gain better knowledge of how the results were attained, rather than branding them all stupid.

JAD

PS Eviltechie, you're a f**king t*at

Well JAD::We all have our likes and dislikes, I would say that if you don't care for this forum.
Just stay where you are more comfortable.
I belong to OC'ers Workbench and am comfortable there as well as here. We as human beings would have less stress in our lives if we were more flexible and tollerant towards our fellow man.
I know cause I am old enough to make that statement and know what I am talking about.
Hope you have a nice day!

Hahaha the guy can read woohoo! Hey man actually read what was written! If you think those results are accurate, then you are what we were referring to as "stupid people" because of you know pc's and well as you know the the sky is blue then you would realize those results are for the most part BS and will also mislead consumers looking to buy. Read through them *LOL* Either the person posting them screwed up or the voters are just uneducated when it comes to pc's. So have fun calling people names and being a total retard and stay at home were you belong, why did you even come to this room if were your at is soooo much better..?? :shake:

from what i can tell from the data, the voters only voted for the things they have
and when they usually dont know about other products, they dont vote for them

its more of a popularity contest

Agreed, probably some people working at pc store and they see more of that product go out the door so they voted fo rit, either that or more of them returned "k7s5a mobo as 3rd best overclocker"

I think the S5A got high OC marks cause of "Cheepoman's overclocking BIOS has brought new life to this aging board".

and Yay it got #1 in cost/performance ratio!

/kisses my motherboard

The reason its' so high in performance is cause there is practically no southbridge. It's all a single integrated northbridge. Unique architecture, but very efficient architecture also.

But no adjustable voltages ect... and not even hardly any ram timing adjustments! It is good for the cash but damn, the a7n8x non delux is only $112 on newegg and it is 10000x the overclocker that is

Actually we do have timing adjustments. I'm currently running my 2.5-3-3 @ 2-2-3 on it.

really they are selectable now..?? not just safe, fast and turbo or somthing like that..?? what about cor V, have to have good core voltage if you wanna overclock..

Uranium-235
01-30-2003, 09:18 PM
No. No voltage adjustments

What we have is Cas /Ras timings and that's it.

A little better than I thought but still does NOT and should NOT be the 3rd best overclcoking board *LOL*

eviltechie
01-30-2003, 10:39 PM
it shouldnt even be on the list if it doesnt have vcore adjustments

it should be in the category of unique or innovative or performance

just in case you do not know the voting process.
One whole month is catered for nominations by the readers. The nominees are then put up for voting for almost an entire one month from jan 1. The top 3 winners are then taken from the ones that has the most votes.

So please read before flaming.
