Hi,

I have recently upgraded my computer from an AMD 950 Mhz running windows 98 to a Petnium 4 2.4 Ghz running windows XP both of which setups i used my voodoo 5 5500 AGP graphics card. Now i am having problems installing games or running them. When i tryed to install mafia the istalation stoped and there was no hdd activity. With soldier of fortune 2 the istalation runs fine but the computer resets whenever i try to run the program. With Max payne the instalation gets to 100% but dosent complete, when i try to run the game an error message comes up saying that my graphics card dosent have enough memory to run it but i know it has as it worked fine on windows 98. All of these cds worked fine in windows 98 and with the error message i get when trying to run Max Payne I am pretty sure it is somthing to do with the graphics card, i just dont know what. I have tryed downloading drivers from voodoofiles.com and have even tryed a patch from there but to no avial, the problem still persists. has anone else had this problem? can you tell me what is wrong with it and what i can do to correct this porblem?

Thankyou for your help

even if you can fix this problem.. it's time for a new card. Having a card from a now nonexistant company doesnt leave much hope for good drivers. Especially since you got the new processor.. it wont do much good with that card. :shake:
