I am looking for a new monitor that is good for gaming and playing video. Probably 19" or more. Any advice?

Does price matter?

if it does, MAG is cheap

and if it only does a bit, then ViewSonic has a cheap one too
if it doesnt matter

I would probably spend up to $300-$350 or so

The monitor you recommended is a shadow mask, i've heard that aperture grills are better for displaying graphics. Does anyone know how noticeable this distiction is?

I have been using a KDS VS-195fs, this is a perfect falt screen.
I paid nearly $500.00 for mine about 3yr ago.
The last time I was on KDS website, they have these RMF for less than $200.00, they have a trinitron tube in them and I couldn't ask for a better monitor.
www.kdsusa.com
I think thier RMF units have a great warranty on them.
Check it out and see what they are now.

Well I just visited thier site and they are no longer listed. I will check elsewhere.

www.unitedmicro.com

These are discontinued models
New w/3yr warranty $218.00
RMF ?? warranty $145.00

This is a great deal on a True Flat screen 19" 1600x1200 Monitor.

We use Mitsubishi Diamondscan 960s at work. If I was rich, I'd use one at home.
