Finally unlocked my 1133 MHz thunderbird. Cranked the Multiplier down at first but the FSB maxed out at 139 (2 seconds or less to lock up). Complety didn't think about just running the Multiplier up (I always hear about overclocking anymore by dropping the multiplier and maxing the FSB to all hell if you have good ram, my first go 'round so I wasn't thinkin strait). Talked to some people on IRC then pulled my head outta my butt and went back the the multiplier. Ended up with a fairly stable system on a 10x multiplier (stock was 8.5 me thinks) with FSB @ 135= 1350 MHz processor. Just shy of 20% gain. Not bad me thinks. Tweaked my GeForce2 MX card and ended up raising my 3DMark2001 almost 500 points http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5961221 versus my old of http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=1934054 granted this doesn't hold a candle to some of ya'lls new systems, but I'm happy. Oh by the way this is with the stock AMD cooler and without load right now it's a 31C Granted I've got 2 nice case fans but this is stock fan and heatsink from AMD, no fancy coolers, only thind I did is add Arctic Silver 2 as my compound, nice stuff by the way. What's ya'll's take on this, success?
