but 4800 is quite new...compared to 9700 but its cheaper than 4600(WTF)

all the 4800 is, is an 8x agp version of the 4600. It is cheaper for the basic design is old. The 9700 will absolutey destroy a 4800 in benchmarks both overclocked and non overclocked.

i wanna see how much Radeon 9700 pro beats 4800 by and do a price calculation based on its performance

but 4800 is really cheap... in sg u can get it for about $400+ while a radeon is still $600+
does a radeon really beat a 4600 or 4800 so much??? u guys make it sound like 4600 is like such a lousy card

were in the world is sg..? in the usa I can get a 9700 pro for $299.99 and a 4800 ti for around $240

it's not lousy if you don't compare it to a 9700.where are you getting those prices they are deffinatly overpriced if that is the U.S.

yeah I've sold a few of these 4800's (they ship as Ti 4600 with 8x AGP -NV28, in North America) and they are more than anything a bit disappointing in appearance - small pcb and teeny little gpu cooler.... you guys are paying too much though over in europe they are going for about 170 euros.... :rolleyes:

of course it is the radeon 9700. It totally outbeats the geforce 4

The Radeon 9500 is the same as a 9700, except with 128-bit memory while the 9700 has 256-bit memory. The 9500's and 9500 Pro's are usually compared to the 4200's because the 4400's often beat them and the 4600's blow them away.
