I know that everyone here has probally called customer service for some company. SPAMI am just wondering what qualities everyone looks for in a customer service/tech support place?
Thanks in advanced for your input.

One thing I have learned in being in tech support is to sympathize with the customer. SPAMOur service model is, "We are there for them and not the other way around." ...despite how idiotic they may seem. SPAMAnother important thing is to know your limits. SPAMIf you can't give them a viable solution or reliable information, be honest with the customer and tell them you will refer to someone that CAN give the correct answer. SPAMDon't feed them B.S..

It's not just that they know what they are doing, but even if or when they don't they own up to it and have the resources available to get you where you need to be.
I have yet to meet a tech that "KNOWS EVERYTHING" but if you're still flipping pages in a book while on the phone, get a new job.
The simple ability to say I honestly don't know but here is someone who does, hey you can't go wrong.
