Hi!

I am running Windows XP Prof with my new Sapphire ATI Radeon 9500 (Atlantis) PRO.
Unfortunatelly gaming did not get faster with this card =(.

The 'Configuration'-Tool (part of the "ATI Multimedia Center") tells me two errors:
<quote>
Failed:
DirectX components are not installed proberly
Capture driver INF file are not installed
</quote>
I did install the newest driver from ATI-Homepage several times ... :-)

What I don't understand: dxDiag.exe tells me that DirectX 9 (a) and previews versions are properly installed.

Does somebody know what to do?

Thx for help!

I would suggest downloading DX9 from MS for XP and installing this software into your OS.
That is what I am running and my 9500 Pro is scoring almost 14,000 in 3dMark2001se
I am having "0" problems with any game I am running.

I'm having the exact same problem...only my Os is Windows 2000 Pro and my vid card is Radeon 9700. When i try to play the Sims my CPU usage goes straight to 100% and i get dumped back to the desktop. Running the Cataylst multimedia test center it gives me the same error reading even tho i know i have Directx 8.1 installed and all the latest drivers. Someone puhleeezee help!!

I think if both you guys would format your hard drive and reinstall the OS.
Then install your chipset drivers, then install your video card drivers and DX9.0a.
I don't think either of you will have a problem.
