Capture card problems...

OK, somone gave me this nice capture card, and after installing it, I get the message "Cannot run multiple instances of a DLL under WIN32s" SPAMI would just click OK, and it would be fine. SPAMToday, I went back to my old capture card(the other was going in my video editing computer) and now I click it 5 times, and I cannot capture in premiere. SPAMI switched over to the program that came with my card, and I see 3 devices under where I can choose my capture card. SPAMCould this be the problem? SPAMIs there an easy way to remove all 3 of my sets of drivers without finding ever file?

It would help to know more about the capture card, was it a regular graphics card ? Did you have two ( new & old ) installed at same time ? SPAMThere are software programs to capture only- without a card.
Not knowing more, anything would be a guess, but if the card was strictly capture only- not graphics capable, and nothing interfered with your normal graphics, you could remove the dr for the card and re-install, but I would remove them from the control panel.

OK, the capture cards are a Winnov Video VO and a 3DFX DecktopTV(with a damaged tuner) SPAMThey are not graphics cards, but separate PCI cards. SPAMI used them separately. SPAMI guess I could just reinstall my other card and manually delete the drivers, but my computer is back in my desk, and I was trying to keep from getting it back out...

You shouldn't have to get in to the machine, just go to control panel's device mgr, select the one you don't want and click properties, then 'disable'. That should keep it from causing any problem.
Next if the other one is ok, fine, if not - just remove the drivers for it and reboot, windows will re-install it.

I know I could do that...if they were still there... SPAMWindows 98 removed them from the device manager when I removed them from my system. SPAMBut programs are still trying to access them.

OK, now I understand better, if you have removed them and do NOT wish to access them again then do a search/find for the correct program title, remove only those you recognize that display. Do this after removing them from device mgr.
Next you will have to edit the registry as they are obviously still in there.
Quickest way to do that is click run and type in :
regedit
hit the F3 key, type in your unwanted program and click 'find next', when the registry search is displayed, look in left and right panes, do not scroll, and one-only one- entry will be highlighted, right click on it and select delete. Make sure it has your unwanted program in the entry line-highlited.
Next hit the F3 key again, repeat the check and delete of highlited entry, then hit F3 again, etc, do not scroll to search any displays, the registry will display one entry only at the time, you should see it in the left or right pane. Remember to make only one delete per F3. The highlited one with your unwanted program.
This may be as many as 25 30 searches on some programs.
When finished the registry will advise you, close the search.
If you have some registry cleaners use them, if not, get to a DOS prompt:
C:\> and type in :
scanreg /fix
Press enter
then get back to a dos c:\prompt and type in:
scanreg /opt
press enter
that should finish cleaning and compacting the registry.
Type exit and return to windows.
